Bringing Our Community Together for WinterFest

For three vibrant days at the end of June, our College community came alive with colour, laughter, and meaningful connection as we celebrated WinterFest.

For three vibrant days at the end of June, our College community came alive with colour, laughter, and meaningful connection as we celebrated WinterFest.

WinterFest was a series of seven memorable events created to reflect the heart of our community: connection, care, and belonging.

From the fun and charm of our Disney Trivia Night to the warmth of our Partners Breakfast, each event offered something unique. There were countless opportunities for families, students, staff, alumni, and friends to engage, reconnect, and enjoy time together.

Behind the scenes, our dedicated Community Engagement Team along with many College staff, and our incredible Parent Reps worked with energy and heart to craft experiences that were meaningful and fun. Highlights included imaginative Disney-inspired costumes at Trivia Night and the chance to welcome our Alumni back on campus—bringing past and present together in a spirit of shared story.

WinterFest also provided a wonderful opportunity to welcome prospective families onto our campus for our 2025 Open Day.  Families enjoyed guided tours of our facilities, gained insights into our learning frameworks, and discovered more about the wide range of programs, events and student events that make both Norwest and Ngarra Christian Colleges so vibrant throughout the year.

Finishing out the week, our WinterFest Carnival was packed full of family-fun with seven amazing rides, food trucks and activities run by some of our Secondary Years students.

College Principal, Felicity Marlow, commented, “WinterFest captured what makes our community so special. WinterFest was more than just a series of events; it was a reflection of Our Norwest - a community where every individual contributes to a shared story of purpose, care, and belonging.”

Thank you to all of those who took part in bringing WinterFest to life. Whether you volunteered, attended, or supported from behind the scenes, your contribution made a difference. Also a huge thank you to our Platinum Sponsor, LJ Hooker Schofields and our Gold Sponsor, Barnabas Aid, for their support towards WinterFest.

WinterFest 2025 showed us the power of community and the joy that comes from celebrating Our Norwest together.
